The Role
Are you ready to kickstart your career in administration with a team that values initiative, teamwork, and growth? We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our Commercial, Business, Property & Estates Division.
You'll play an essential role in keeping our team running smoothly — supporting a Senior Associate and Paralegal delivering high-quality work for our clients every day.
Duties
* Preparing Court documents and briefs
* Drafting Wills and other Estate Planning documents
* Opening and closing files together with preparation of costs agreements
* Assistance in drafting, formatting and amending documents/correspondence including sending by email, DocuSign or Adobe
* Liaising with clients, lawyers, barristers, financial institutions, Council, water authorities, strata management and real estate agents
* Arranging appointments and diary management
* Maintain schedules on files and ensuring all general checklists are up to date
* Accessing and maintaining the firm's safe custody
* Matter invoicing, receipting and accounting responsibilities
* Assisting with all administrative aspects of business, estate, commercial and property law files
* Assisting with PEXA workspaces, EDR document stamping, registration of documents and undertaking property searches
* Preparing settlement documentation
Skills & Experience
* Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
* Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
* A friendly, proactive team player with great communication skills and excellent customer service
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Great organisational and prioritisation abilities
Desirable but not essential
* Legal administrative experience however if you are a junior, we are willing to train the right candidate.
