Your new role
As an Orange Door Practitioner, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high‐quality support to children, young people, and families experiencing family violence or requiring assistance with care and wellbeing. You will act as a first point of contact, offering information, advice, conducting risk assessments and undertaking case coordination and management.
In this role, you will report to a Team Leader from any of the partner organisations within The Orange Door, while receiving formal supervision from a Uniting Orange Door Team Leader.

Your skills and experience
* In line with Victorian Government requirements, applicants must hold:
o A relevant degree qualification in Social Work or a related family violence discipline (AQF Level 7 or above).
o Please refer to the Mandatory Minimum Qualifications Policy for full details, including alternative experience and qualification pathways.
* Demonstrated ability as a practitioner in the child, youth and family welfare field
* Current Victorian Driver's License
* Knowledge of MARAM and Best Interests of the Child Framework
* Experience in working within an intake setting
* Previous experience in child and family services and/or family violence
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
