If you prefer working from an office, you will have access to our co-working allowance or, depending on your location, you can choose to work from one of our hubs with your colleagues.About The RoleThis is a unique opportunity for a recent law graduate to kickstart your legal career through a year-long graduate program at one of Australia’s leading legal tech firms.Since launching our Membership subscription in 2020, Sprintlaw has been designing the best way to provide legal support to businesses. What began as a way to remove the cost barrier to quick legal advice has evolved into a proactive, client-centric experience shaped by our growing understanding of small business needs. In November 2024, we launched our new client platform – an all-in-one solution for business legals that is driven by blending expert lawyers with technology and AI.Today, members have access to complimentary quick lawyer consults (or what we refer to as “member calls”), credits on legal services, and a suite of legal tools including free documents, Taylor AI, and more – all designed to make legal help more accessible, timely, and impactful for small businesses and startups.Sprintlaw’s membership subscription is at the centre of our 2025 strategy, focusing on proactive engagement and faster, more seamless service delivery to strengthen client retention. To bring this to life, we're establishing a dedicated “Member Team” – a standalone unit within our Legal Team to implement our strategic goals. As a lawyer in the Member Team, you’ll be part of this innovative team focused on delivering proactive legal support at scale.You’ll act as the first point of contact for our members, helping them identify and understand legal risks, guiding them through their options, and converting consultations into fixed-fee projects for our Delivery Team. You’ll also contribute to key internal projects that improve our systems and scale our services.What You’ll Be DoingActing as the first lawyer point of contact for Sprintlaw members through member calls.Scoping a client’s legal needs, providing tailored strategic advice and referring them to the Delivery Team to handle fixed-fee projects based on your scoping.Shadowing our most senior lawyers on client calls to gain practical, real-world commercial legal experience from day one.Working closely with the Growth and Legal Delivery Teams to handle escalations that require deeper legal research and precise scoping, ensuring quotes are accurate and efficient.Supporting our Customer Success Team to drive Legal Health Check completions and credit usage for clients, and providing proactive legal action based on their legal needs.Building our internal knowledge by documenting learnings and insights, to help scale the Member Team and provide a smoother experience for our clients.Contributing to issue-resolution projects by providing ad hoc support on high-priority legal work from the Delivery Team.What Success Looks LikeGrowing the number of member calls handled, helping drive stronger engagement with our platform and boosting member retention.Converting client enquiries into well-scoped, fixed-fee projects for our Delivery Team.Collaborating on legal escalations to ensure accurate scoping and smooth handover of complex matters.Building our internal knowledge base and assisting with high-priority, issue-resolution projects for our Delivery Team.What You’ll GainDirect reporting to our Head of Legal, with hands-on training and mentorship from our most senior lawyers.Early exposure to commercial legal work by shadowing client calls from day one.A clear pathway to progressing through the Legal Team, where you’ll take on legal drafting and delivery of legal work.Opportunity to collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.Experience working closely with our Operations Team to refine and optimise the processes that will help us meet our core business goals.Your Skills & ExperienceWe’re looking for someone who:Has a proactive, curious mindset and learns quickly in fast-paced environments.Strong phone confidence, with the ability to communicate effectively to clients, explains legal concepts clearly, and possesses strong commercial acumen to deliver strategic advice.Holds a law degree and is admitted as a lawyer in Australia, with ideally 1+ year of experience in a commercial and/or legal setting.Is highly organised and can clearly document learnings, processes, and insights to help build scalable systems.Is tech-savvy, with a strong interest in tech-driven processes and using tech/AI tools in their day-to-day.Is results-driven, with a proven track record of meeting KPIs in a business setting.Loves working directly with clients, understanding their business, and identifying legal needs to provide value.Is motivated by the tangible impact of their role in a business’ strategy.Bonus points if you have sales training or experience, especially in understanding client needs and communicating the value of professional services.Why Join Us?
