MEIJA is a Brisbane content agency making short-form video that actually performs. We shoot TikToks and Reels for hospitality & e-commerce brands — the kind of content that drives real outcomes, not just views.
THE ROLE
We're hiring a content creator who owns the whole pipeline — concept to camera to cut. You'll take a half-day on location and turn it into a week's worth of scroll-stopping short-form across our client roster. This is a hands-on creative seat: you're the one behind the lens and in the timeline, shaping how some of Brisbane's best brands show up online. You'll report to the founder and work alongside our Social Media & Admin Coordinator, sitting at the centre of how MEIJA delivers for clients day to day.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
* First 3 months: you're running shoots independently and turning footage around fast without the quality dipping
* By 6 months: clients request you by name, and your edits set the bar for the rest of our output
* Ongoing: the content you create moves the numbers that matter — skip rate, saves, shares, follows, sales
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Film short-form vertical video on location — cafés, restaurants, product shoots, founder features
* Edit fast-paced Reels and TikToks with hooks, pacing and sound design that hold attention
* Manage your own shoot setup end to end: camera, audio, lighting
* Adapt across multiple client accounts, nailing each brand's distinct voice
* Bring ideas to the table — concepts, shot lists, formats worth testing
* Stay ahead of trends and platform changes so our content never feels a beat behind
WHAT YOU'LL NEED (MUST-HAVES)
* A showreel of short-form vertical video that speaks for itself — this is what we look at first
* Confidence running a shoot solo across camera, audio and lighting
* Strong editing skills in [Premiere Pro / CapCut / DaVinci — your pick]
* An instinct for what makes someone stop scrolling
* Reliable, organised, and easy to have on set in front of clients
