About The Role
This isn't just another roofing gig. Every system we put on a roof is part of getting another household to a zero bill. That only works if the install is done properly, weatherproof, and built to the high standards we carry. You'll be on the roof across a steady pipeline of residential solar and battery jobs — laying out arrays, fixing rails, flashing penetrations properly, and mounting panels. You'll work alongside a tight-knit team that gets the job done right the first time and stands behind it for the long haul.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Delivering high-quality install work on the roof
* Erecting edge protection and/or harness anchor points
* Mounting brackets, rails, cabling on tile, tin, Klip-Lok and standing seam roofs
* Weatherproof penetrations and flashings done right the first time
* Panel installation to manufacturer spec and CEC guidelines
* Photos and documentation as required
Owning the job from start to finish
* Communicate clearly with the electrician on the job and with the customer
* Keep the install on time and to scope
* Leave the roof, gutters, and site cleaner than you found them
Representing the SJ Power standard
* Look after the customer's home like it's your own
* Uphold our reputation for quality and reliability
* Support and mentor newer team members where needed
Experience required
* Solid solar install experience on residential roofs
* Working at Heights ticket (current)
* White Card
* Confident with harness systems and edge protection
* Strong problem-solving on the roof — odd rafter spacings, awkward layouts, dodgy existing flashings
* High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Valid driver's licence
* A proactive, can-do attitude
