**Food Services Manager - Kingston Centre, Cheltenham**

Full-time permanent position

**Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

Our food services team across all our facilities includes our central production facility, three major acute hospitals and residential aged care services facilities. Together we strive to develop and improve the patient food service experience in the public health setting.

**Kingston Centre Food Services**:
Kingston Food Services area is part of our Support Services team, providing our patients and clients with prompt and safe delivery of foods. We supply for special events, as well as to wards and other locations. Our meals find their way to hospitals, residential care facilities and primary care sites. We look to you to ensure our meal services run smoothly. You will take charge of ensuring we meet safety and quality standards, our hygiene and cleanliness are first class, deliveries run on time, invoicing and ordering is well organised and our plant and equipment functions well. Along the way you will liaise with dieticians and other stakeholders.

**A Day in the Life**:
The Food Services Manager reports directly to the Support Services and CPK Manager, Kingston Centre, Moorabbin Hospital and Residential, and is an essential member of our leadership team in our pursuit to provide an exceptional customer and employee experience within the Support Services team. Working with team members at all levels, the Food Services Manager is accountable for:

- Food Safety program compliance,
- Budget and employee management and
- Overall department performance.

In this important role you will be responsible for:

- Providing support and leadership to the food services team
- Achieving and maintaining the highest standards in food safety
- Leading our services in our pursuit of exceptional patient and employee experiences
- Working closely with departmental heads and teams to drive service excellence.

**On a Personal Level**:
You may be working in food services and have decided you are ready to take on a management role or perhaps you are already supervising others and are feeling like a change of industry. Either way, we have a role to re-energize your job satisfaction
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- A proactive approach and team players
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service for a large complex organisation.

What You Need:

- A minimum of three years' experience as a Manager in a medium to large organisation
- Experience in a managerial role in a medium to large organisation
- Exceptional leadership skills to ensure amazing patient and employee experience
- Imagination, positive attitude and motivational approach in facilitating change and adopting new concepts.
- An ability to engage with key stakeholders to deliver high quality food services.
- A passion for food and delivering exceptional customer services
- Intermediate computer skills

In addition the following would be beneficial however are not essential:

- Current Food Safety Supervision* - For Community Services and Health Industries
- Detailed knowledge of quality systems, ideally HACCP*
- If you are successful in this role and do not have the above skills we will train and develop you in these areas.
