Position: Mechanical Supervisor – Commissioning team for the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the construction process, including coordinating and directing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Enforce safety regulations and building codes, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations.
* Manage and resolve conflicts between parties involved in the project.
* Maintain accurate records of progress, costs, and quality control measures.
* Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met and identify and address any issues that arise.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits.
* Manage the allocation of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.
* Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedure.
Key Requirements
* Experience supervising mechanical works on major infrastructure/energy/resources projects in Australia.
* Experience working for a tier one contractor is advantageous.
* Demonstrated commissioning experience.
* Demonstrated experience as a Supervisor, managing multiple subcontractors and direct employees.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Strong problem‐solving and conflict‐resolution abilities.
* Able to work and integrate into a team.
* Strong focus on health and safety.
