We're now looking for a Payroll Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.
What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for a workforce of ~4,000 employees across Australia.
* Process weekly and assist with fortnightly payroll cycles
* Manage payroll adjustments, terminations, and one-off payments
* Ensure accurate tax calculations across allowances, bonuses, and deductions
* Set up new starters and manage employee data in SAP ECP and EC (SuccessFactors)
* Process timesheets and reconcile leave balances
* Support general ledger reconciliations and month-end reporting
* Respond to employee payroll queries with a strong customer-first approach
* Maintain compliance with PAYG, superannuation, and employment legislation
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and team projects
What You'll Bring:
* Demonstrated payroll experience in a complex, high-volume environment
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation (PAYG, super, awards)
* Knowledge of SAP ECP and EC (SuccessFactors) will be highly regarded
* High attention to detail and strong data accuracy
* Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset
* Strong Excel and systems capability
* A team-first attitude, with the ability to be collaborative, positive, and proactive
