We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team and make a lasting impact on young learners.
Position Overview
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, play-based learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS). You will work closely with children, families, and a dedicated team of educators to create an enriching and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement an age-appropriate learning program based on EYLF principles.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity through play-based learning.
- Document children’s learning and progress through observations, portfolios, and learning stories.
- Foster positive relationships with children, ensuring their safety, inclusion, and emotional well-being.
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Implement strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and individual interests.
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and leadership staff to maintain a high-quality learning environment.
- Provide mentorship and support to educators, helping them build professional skills.
- Ensure compliance with National Regulations and NQS standards.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families and involve them in their child's learning journey.
- Communicate effectively with parents through daily updates, meetings, and learning documentation.
- Participate in community initiatives and promote a strong sense of belonging.
- Maintain child safety and uphold the Child Protection Act and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, safe, and engaging.
- Stay up to date with best practices and professional development opportunities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification).
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training (HLTAID012).
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and Education and Care Services National Regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for child-led learning and creating meaningful experiences.
- A commitment to fostering a Growth Mindset philosophy in young learners.
