Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a skilled and hands‐on Field Service Engineer to support their projects across Australia. This position focuses on delivering high-quality onsite technical services, troubleshooting renewable systems, and ensuring optimal performance for solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The ideal candidate brings solid engineering expertise, problem‐solving ability, and a real enthusiasm for advancing renewable technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of solar and BESS systems at project sites.
* Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
* Analyse system performance, troubleshoot faults, and identify root causes to minimise downtime.
* Provide technical support to onsite teams and customers, including basic training on system operation.
* Document service activities, prepare reports on equipment performance, and recommend improvements.
* Support after‐sales service initiatives and contribute to service quality enhancements.
* Travel to regional or remote project sites as required for service delivery and audits.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 2‐4 years of experience in field service, technical support, or commissioning - preferably within renewables (solar or BESS).
* Strong knowledge of technical systems, commissioning processes, and diagnostic tools.
* Proven hands‐on skills in troubleshooting, maintenance, and system repairs.
* Excellent communication and customer‐facing skills for onsite interactions.
* Business‐fluent English; proficiency in additional regional languages is advantageous.
* Valid working rights in Australia, a driver's licence, and willingness to travel to remote sites.
