Overview
We are seeking to establish a pool of Student Support Officers (SSO) for permanent and fixed‐term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Collie SHS seeks a pool of energetic and motivated individuals to support students' wellbeing, resilience and pro‐social behaviour through partnership with the Student Services team. Under the leadership of the Student Services Manager, a SSO will monitor and manage triage practices, implement clear support processes and deliver outcome‐driven interventions.

Key responsibilities include:
* Participating in Students at Education Risk (SAER) and case conference meetings, providing information and consultancy advice to students and agencies.
* Facilitating restorative meetings to help students resolve conflict and ensuring agreed‐upon outcomes are followed up.
* Working in partnership with key service providers to coordinate and deliver activities that support and engage SAER.
* Co‐ordinating crisis management and response duties to achieve the best outcomes for young people.

Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before commencement.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before commencement.
