About Us
Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs).
The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of Schools, ELCs and the CEO through seven Service Areas. These Service Areas include: Education and Performance Improvement; Catholic Identity; School and Family Services; Strategy and Special Projects; Finance and Infrastructure; Information and Communication Technology; and People and Culture.
\3>About the Role
The Cyber Security Officer undertakes security event monitoring and first level analysis of potential incidents across the organisation. This role is responsible for level one triage of security monitoring alerts and threat detection along with assisting the team with device management and maintenance, incident response, and threat intelligence (TI) and threat assessment.
About the Team
The Cyber Security Officer will be joining a large and well-structured team of ICT professionals to support the CEO and school staff across the Archdiocese to ensure ease of access to essential information and sites. The Cyber Security Officer works with Cyber Security, Service Delivery and Enterprise Technology to ensure the best experience for all CECG staff.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, relevant professional qualification, or equivalent experience in an Information Technology related role.
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Driver’s Licence.
