Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Backup and Storage
Location: Perth, WA
Contract: 6 Months (Starting January 2026)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading utilities provider. This role is critical in assessing and advising on the best-fit technologies for the client's existing infrastructure, with a strong focus on Backup, Recovery, and Storage solutions.
You will design, implement, and maintain core infrastructure systems, oversee technical designs, and ensure compliance with standards while guiding external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess available technologies and recommend optimal solutions for Backup, Recovery, and Storage.
* Direct translation of requirements into high-level and detailed solution designs aligned with standards.
* Oversee design documentation and provide guidance to developers and configuration specialists.
* Review architecture and assure quality of solution implementations.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and service providers to deliver complex solutions.
* Provide input into strategic technology direction and enterprise architecture.
Mandatory Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer or Technical Infrastructure Architect.
* Expertise in Backup, Recovery, and Storage technologies (vendor-neutral approach).
* Strong knowledge of infrastructure components and ability to evaluate technology options.
* Ability to manage external service providers and ensure compliance with standards.
