Position

Comet Bay College has been a Department of Education and Training endorsed Gifted and Talented Academic Program school since 2007, providing a tailored, highly stimulating and challenging program to all selected students. The college also offers students extension through Drama, Dance, Music and Art as well as a fully accredited Specialist Australian Rules Football Program with direct links to the Fremantle Dockers and Peel Thunder.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Youth Hub staff to identify and deliver evidence‐based social/emotional programs supporting identified student learning needs.
* Implement intervention strategies that provide proactive support for students, their families and staff, including developing, implementing and monitoring preventative programs to support student success.
* Assist in case management of specific students or groups, focusing on attendance, behaviour and social/emotional developmental needs, identifying and resolving barriers to educational engagement to facilitate improved academic achievement.
* Develop and maintain supportive and professional links between students, families, the college and other appropriate agencies in the community.
Qualifications
* High standards of professionalism, a collaborative approach, organisational and communication skills.
* Experience supporting students through mentoring, school engagement and case management.
* Ability to work positively and effectively in teams and to be open to new thinking.
* Experience using a range of software systems and interpreting data.
