Opportunity to join our team as an Acute Allied Health Educator
As the Allied Health Educator in the Acute Allied Health Division, you will lead the coordination and delivery of allied health education and training services, supporting the implementation of education strategies and workforce priorities under the direction of the Director, Allied Health Education. You will have the opportunity to translate strategic priorities into operational clinical education programs for allied health staff and support clinicians, including monitoring program effectiveness, identifying local clinical education needs, and promoting local education capacity, while ensuring quality and consistency.
This position may also include a clinical practice component aligned with service and workforce needs.
About the role
As the Acute Allied Health Educator, you will influence the strategic direction of allied health education and training to align with allied health workforce strategies and service priorities by:
* Setting education and training direction and goals for acute allied health in conjunction with the Director, Allied Health Education that align with the allied health workforce strategy and service priorities.
* Monitoring the activities and outcomes of allied health education and training activities to ensure they meet organisation and schedule objectives.
* Working collaboratively with allied health disciplines and services to understand training needs.
* Sharing strategic direction and providing support and expert consultancy with respect to allied health education and training to allied health clinical leads across the network.
About you
Key qualifications and experience include:
* Bachelor's Degree in an Allied Health Discipline, or equivalent qualification enabling registration with the relevant board or eligibility for membership of the professional association (for non-registered professions), specifically: Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Dietitian, Social Work, Podiatry, Master in Clinical or Health Psychology, Human movements, inclusive of the exercise physiology elective.
* Extensive experience in the development, implementation, delivery, co‐ordination and evaluation of interprofessional and multidisciplinary allied health education and training programs across an allied health workforce.
* Demonstrated experience in program evaluation and ongoing service development.
* Experience with data entry, using a range of computer software packages and database analysis.
* Demonstrated experience in translating allied health education research into practice.
