We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to work the night shift.
The role
ALS Oil & Lubricants in Canning Vale provides testing analysis to ensure optimal fluid health to our client's equipment.
This is a full‐time role with 8‐hour shifts, Monday to Friday: from 11 pm to 7 am. You will work in a small team in our NATA‐accredited oil analysis laboratory, analysing oil, coolant, fuel and grease samples.
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate through an incremental structured training programme. This is a great opportunity to start or progress your laboratory career.
Day‐to‐day responsibilities
* Labelling and unpacking samples
* Sample registration
* Routine sample testing including ICP‐OES, FTIR, viscosity, particle counting, colour analysis, acid‐base titrations and Karl Fischer titrations
* Basic equipment calibration
* Work as part of a team of laboratory technicians, technical support staff and leadership
* Perform housekeeping duties as required
* Work to safety guidelines according to policies and procedures
* Ability to move and lift racks and boxes in the 5‐10 kg range
Essentials
* Be a team player who enjoys working within a group environment
* Have the ability to work in a fast‐paced environment under reasonable pressure
* Have excellent communication skills
* Have great attention to detail
* Be willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required
* Previous experience using a LIMS would be desirable but not essential
* Cert IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or similar is advantageous
