Job Description
EnerMech is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to lead quality assurance and compliance efforts across Industrial Services operations in Gladstone. This role spans multiple service lines, including valve management, mechanical systems, pressure equipment, and hose certification.
This position involves inspection and verification of mechanical systems, system cleanliness, integrity testing, and certification of valves, hoses, and flanged connections. The successful candidate will manage QA documentation, coordinate hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities, develop and compile relevant QA/QC systems and documentation, and ensure compliance with AS/NZS codes and relevant ASME/API standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspection and verification of mechanical systems, including system cleanliness, integrity testing, and certification of valves, hoses, and flanged connections.
* Manage QA documentation, including ITPs, inspection records, test reports, NCRs, and compilation of Manufacturer Data Reports (MDRs).
* Coordinate hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities to verify equipment and system performance.
* Develop and compile relevant QA/QC systems and documentation as required.
* Ensure compliance with AS/NZS codes and relevant ASME/API standards.
* Support NATA audit readiness and assist in maintaining certification standards.
* Liaise with clients and project teams on inspections documentation reviews, and compliance outcomes.
* Coach and guide field and workshop teams on QA expectations, procedural adherence, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess minimum 5 years' experience in a QA/QC or inspection-based role within oil & gas, alumina, or industrial services. They should have strong working knowledge of valves, mechanical systems, hoses, pressure equipment, and bolted connections.
They should also be familiar with hydrostatic/pneumatic testing procedures and inspection workflows. Additionally, they should have understanding of relevant standards including AS/NZS, ISO/IEC *****, ISO ****, ASME and API codes.
Trade qualification, Cert IV in Engineering/Mechanical, or inspection certification would be highly regarded. Strong documentation and reporting skills, with attention to technical detail are essential.
Effective communication and coordination across site, workshop, and client-facing teams are critical for this role.
