The Opportunity
As Executive Manager Programs, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a diverse portfolio of services. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will translate organisational strategy into measurable community outcomes, ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will also play a lead role in managing external relationships with government agencies, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, and other stakeholders, positioning Accordwest as a sector leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across all program areas, ensuring alignment with organisational vision, mission, and values.
- Shape organisational strategy and future direction, contributing to long‑term planning and ensuring programs anticipate and respond to emerging community needs, policy shifts, and funding opportunities.
- Drive innovation and growth by identifying new opportunities, securing contracts, and developing evidence‑based service models.
- Oversee governance and compliance, ensuring programs meet contractual, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Lead workforce development, building high‑performing, resilient teams within a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.
- Represent the organisation at sector forums, policy discussions, and community events to advocate for systemic change and raise Accordwest’s profile.
- Engage stakeholders and expand service reach
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, human services, or related fields (postgraduate preferred).
- Minimum five years’ experience in program management and coordination.
- Extensive senior management experience in the social services sector.
- Proven track record of leadership supporting disadvantaged communities and advancing community development.
- Solid understanding of networks, political, economic, and social dynamics impacting vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrated success in program innovation, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusivity.
Highly Desirable:
- Project management expertise and SharePoint document management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and build resilient, high-performing teams.
