The Role
This is a genuine leadership position, not a senior accountant role with a new title.
As Accounting Manager, you'll become the technical and operational lead for the accounting team. You'll work closely with the directors to ensure work is delivered to a high standard, the team is supported and developed, and clients receive a great experience.
This is a role where you'll have real influence from day one.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BASs and bookkeeping work
* Acting as the first point of contact for technical queries from the team
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members
* Managing workflow and monitoring job progress and budgets
* Handling client queries and explaining technical matters clearly
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems
About You
You're an experienced accountant who's ready to step into—or further grow—a true leadership role in a small firm environment.
You'll likely have:
* 8+ years experience in public practice
* CA or CPA qualification
* Strong technical knowledge across tax and accounting compliance
* Experience reviewing financial statements and tax returns
* Confidence communicating directly with clients
* Experience mentoring or leading junior team members
And you'll be someone who:
* Communicates directly and with confidence

* Enjoys developing others and improving how a team operates
