As the Data Systems & Reporting Analyst, in the Forensic Pathology and Coronial Services department, you will play a key role in managing and optimising the organisation's data and reporting environment utilising Power BI, SharePoint lists, Power Apps and Power Automate.

You will focus on improving data collection methods, performing quality assurance checks, and implementing controls to ensure data integrity, reliability, and consistency across systems. You will also respond to ad-hoc reporting requests, providing timely, accurate, and well-presented analysis to inform decision-making.


What you'll do

* Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of Coronial Services datasets and provide ongoing liaison, advice and support to providers on matters relating to definition, collection and submission of datasets.
* Develop, maintain, and improve Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights.
* Provide specialist advice and recommendations regarding the maintenance, review and enhancement of Coronial Services information systems.
* Develop and implement procedures to identify and rectify discrepancies in information to ensure a high quality of Coronial data sets.
* Design, develop, administer, and own SharePoint lists, ensuring usability, data integrity, and appropriate governance.
* Improve, maintain, and create Power Automate flows to enhance workflows, reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.


About you

* Demonstrated understanding of Queensland Health Cyber Security requirements and data policies.
* Demonstrated ability in the use of information technology systems to collect, analyse, report and disseminate data.
* High level analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse, interpret and reports data to support effective decision making.
* Demonstrated experience in performing detailed data analysis including trend analysis, report preparation and provision of recommendations to the Leadership team.
* Strong proficiency in Power BI report and dashboard development, including data modelling and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
* Proven experience with SharePoint lists development and administration.
* Hands-on experience in improving, maintaining, and developing Power Automate flows.
* Experience building datasets with connections to a variety of data sources, creating custom metrics, cleansing/transforming data and creating static reports as well as interactive dashboards.
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
