Defect Manager – Insurance (Claims & Policy)
Location: Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
CloudMarc is seeking an experienced Defect Manager to support a large-scale insurance transformation program. This role plays a critical part in ensuring quality outcomes across Claims and Policy platforms within a complex enterprise environment.
Experience with Duck Creek is a major plus; however, hands‐on Claims and Policy experience within another insurance system is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and manage the end‐to‐end defect lifecycle across SIT, UAT, and regression phases
* Lead defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution in collaboration with QA, development, and business teams
* Establish and maintain defect governance, reporting, and quality metrics
* Facilitate defect triage forums and ensure timely defect closureProvide clear visibility of defect status, trends, and risks to senior stakeholders
* Ensure accurate documentation and audit readiness
Mandatory Experience
* Claims system experience within an insurance platform
* Policy system experience within an insurance platformExperience working across SIT, UAT, and production support phases
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly Desirable
* Duck Creek experience (Claims and/or Policy modules)
* Experience in large‐scale insurance transformation programs
* Experience working with mixed onshore and offshore delivery teams
