ATEC Group Training is offering an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to kickstart their career in sheet metal fabrication and stainless steel fabrication through a paid apprenticeship. Multiple positions are available across a range of host employers throughout Adelaide, such as B&R Enclosures and MAAS Enterprises, both reputable companies in the engineering sheet metal and stainless steel sectors.

As a highly recognised apprentice and trainee employer service, ATEC manages the entirety of your apprenticeship. You'll be supported by your own dedicated consultant, mentored throughout the duration of your placement, and matched with reputable host employers to ensure you receive high-quality on-the-job training in a safe and supportive environment.

This apprenticeship offers a valuable pathway to gain hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, no welding involved, while working towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering - Metal Fabrication (MEM31922) - all while getting paid!

About the role:

As an apprentice sheet metal fabricator, you will:

·Assist in the cutting, shaping, forming, and assembly of sheet metal components to specifications

·Learn to safely operate machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and other fabrication tools

·Interpret technical drawings and job instructions

·Perform quality checks and measurements

·Support qualified tradespeople with workshop activities

·Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

·Attend training as part of completing your qualification

This role is perfect for those who enjoy working with their hands, have strong attention to detail, and thrive in a workshop environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed applicants who:

·Demonstrate a safety-first mindset

·Are physically capable and prepared for manual work

·Has a current driver's licence and reliable transport

·Are eager to learn, and take direction well

·Are punctual, organised, and work effectively both independently and in a team

·Possess good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·Can work in a fast-paced environment

Desirable for your application, but not essential:

·Previous experience in fabrication or a similar environment;

·Completion of a Certificate II in Engineering Pathways (MEM20422); and

·Ability to confidently operate a manual transmission vehicle.
