Child Care Team Leader - Galiwinku
Are you passionate about early childhood education and ready for an adventure? Join East Arnhem Regional Council as a Child Care Team Leader and help deliver high-quality programs that make a real impact in remote communities.
In this role, you'll lead and mentor a dedicated team, ensure compliance with childcare legislation, and create culturally respectful learning environments for children and families. You'll work closely with the Child Care Coordinator to plan and deliver programs aligned with the National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework, and Aboriginal 8 Ways of Learning.
What You'll Do
* Actively lead, mentor, train and support and supervise child care staff
* Build strong, culturally sensitive relationships with families and the community
* Ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality educational programs
* Ensure a flexible service is provided to the community in response to the changing needs of the community
* Assist with daily operations, food safety, and reporting
* Actively participate in all offered training and development opportunities
* Other duties as reasonably directed by the Child Care Coordinator
What We're Looking For
* Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (minimum)
* Knowledge of childcare legislation and National Quality Framework
* Leadership experience with ability to mentor and support staff
* First Aid, CPR, and Food Safety qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Ochre Card and C Class Driver's License
Desirable
* Experience working in remote First Nations communities
* Strong cross-cultural awareness
