Offer description

Role Overview

Location: Dubbo, NSW, Australia.

Position: Dubbo Team Leader – full-time or part-time options available.

A fantastic opportunity exists to join Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) as the Team Leader of the Dubbo Therapy Team! CPA is a ground-breaking, global centre of expertise for cerebral palsy research, advocacy, intervention and assistive technology innovation.

As a Team Leader / Senior Therapist you will have the opportunity to not only support our local therapy team but also enhance your leadership skills and join CPA's Therapy Leadership team which is spread across NSW and the ACT.

Team Overview

The Dubbo therapy team consists of 9 local therapists including occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech pathologists. The multidisciplinary team is supported by a Client Services Consultant, a local Team Leader and a Therapy Manager.

Our Therapy centre in Gipps Street is about to undergo an exciting refurbishment, and the local team has access to all resources required to best support our clients and families. The team also provides services in the community and works closely with the team in Orange to service clients across the Orana region / Central West.

Role Essentials

This position is currently full-time with half of your week spent leading the team – supported by the site's Therapy Manager – and the other half spent managing a caseload as a senior therapist.

You will be supported not only by Dubbo's Therapy Manager (to whom the position reports) but by a network of therapy leaders across CPA. You will have access to various modes of leadership training including online courses and face‐to‐face sessions facilitated by Regional Managers, internal business partners and external subject matter experts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Clinical background in OT, PT or SP is essential.
* Strong communication skills – conveying expectations, providing feedback, facilitating team discussions, communicating risks and barriers to the Regional Manager, and effectively engaging with stakeholders and clients.
* Ability to lead through guidance, motivation and support.
* Translate strategic priorities of the organisation into meaningful actions for your team.
* Problem‐solving – troubleshooting challenges, performing logistical gymnastics, and making informed decisions in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Data‐driven decision‐making.
* Proficient with IT.
* Commitment to supporting team members to navigate daily challenges as well as their longer‐term professional development.
* An understanding of the complex needs of our clients.

What's in it for me?

* Exceptional professional development opportunities through CPA's leadership academy as well as access to a suite of online courses run by MCI, a leading registered training organisation.
* A relocation allowance for interstate or rural moves of $5,000 to help you if you are moving for the role.
* Up to $2,650 per year tax‐savable through meal, entertainment and venue hire benefit.
* Wellbeing allowance of $100 per year (massage on us or purchase new sneakers).
* Discounted gym/fitness centre membership for your whole family.
* Multiple career pathways – including research, clinical governance, specialisation and management opportunities.
* Additional leave days, including bonus leave, pre‐purchased leave, compassionate leave and CPA Day – an additional public holiday (occurs in the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day).
