About the role
As a Primary Care Nurse within a correctional facility, you will provide frontline healthcare to inmates, delivering assessments, treatment, chronic disease management, medication administration, assist with emergency calls and health education in a secure environment.
The role focuses on improving patient wellbeing, responding to acute and ongoing health needs, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, qualified, and compassionate care.
Job Details
* Start in 2-4 weeks
* Fulltime AM & PM 7 Day rotating roster: 0700-1530 & 1330-2200 (if you prefer to work all AMs or all PMs, this can be requested)
* 12 week contract with possibility to extend
* Up to $62.27 p/hr AM rate + 12% superannuation + shift penalties

Requirements
* Current registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions
* Min 2 years Registered Nurse in primary health care or Hospital experience
* Be able to assist in medical emergencies
* Practice Nurses working in General Practice are encouraged to apply
* All Compliance and Competencies up to date
* NSW Working With Children's Check or willingness to obtain
* Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
