Period of Employment
Fixed term from 1 February 2027 to 8 February 2028*, up to 36 months available by negotiation.
Role Summary
Provide emergency care to patients attending the Emergency Department at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care to patients in the Emergency Department, covering day, evening, night and weekend shifts.
* Complete required shift duties with 9.5‐hour day/evening shifts and 10‐hour night shifts.
* Attend full‐day education program fortnightly and participate in preparation for ACEM, ACCRM, RACGP examinations and AST EM StAMPS.
* Assist with triage, assessment, treatment and discharge planning of emergency patients.
* Support multidisciplinary team and contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to Department and Board policies.

Qualifications & Experience
* Medical degree and current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* PGY3 or higher experience or equivalent clinical training.
* Interest in developing specialty training in emergency medicine.
