At Carinity Education Shalom, we're seeking compassionate and committed teachers across multiple teaching areas to join our dedicated team supporting predominantly First Nations students in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive learning environment.
Whether your passion is in Primary Education, Secondary Education, or Specialist Teaching areas including Music, Art, Drama, HPE, Science or STEM, we'd love to hear from you.
We have a combination of Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities, with some roles available for immediate start and others commencing in Term 3. We also welcome expressions of interest from candidates seeking future opportunities.
About The Positions
As a Teacher at Carinity Education Shalom, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help students re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve their personal and academic goals through strong relationships, high expectations, and trauma-informed teaching practices. You'll contribute to a school culture built on compassion, respect, consistency and genuine care.
Your Day-to-day Will Involve
* Creating safe, inclusive, trauma-informed and culturally responsive classrooms
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum
* Supporting student wellbeing, growth and learning outcomes
* Building strong, respectful relationships with students, families and staff
* Managing classroom behaviour using calm, consistent and supportive approaches
* Collaborating with Youth Workers, leadership and support teams
* Participating in planning, debriefs, school activities, camps, excursions and assemblies
* Monitoring attendance, progress and maintaining accurate student records
* Upholding child safety, Christian values and organisational policies
About You
You are a passionate educator who leads with compassion, patience and purpose. You build trust easily, bring calm and consistency to challenging situations, and are committed to helping young people particularly those at risk feel safe, valued and capable of success.
You may be a Primary or Upper Primary Teacher, Secondary Teacher, or a Specialist Teacher in Music, Art, Drama, HPE, Science or STEM.
In addition:
* Qualified and a QCT registered teacher
* Strong classroom management, high expectations teaching, culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice
* Possession of valid Driver's Licence
* Alignment with Carinity's Christian ethos and values of compassion, respect and teamwork
