Position Summary
Senior Geology Technician – field leadership team at Thunderbox Operations. Site‐based, 8/6 rotation FIFO ex Perth.
Responsibilities
* Supervising performance of field exploration activities including surface geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys, coordinating earthworks and rehabilitation, cadastral surveys and other mapping.
* Field surveys for environmental and heritage clearances.
* Managing field consumables, equipment, and supplies.
* Team management: rostering, leave, performance reviews, skills development and disciplinary action.
* Ensuring staff competencies and compliance for training, VOCs and procedural development.
Qualifications
* At least 5 years of direct experience in an exploration technical capacity.
* Leadership experience in relevant field exploration and mine exploration activities.
* Sound knowledge of GPS operation and navigation.
* High computer literacy.
* In‐depth knowledge of core processing from drill rig to lab.
