About The OPPORTUNITY
This position is located within the ATM Consolidated Contract team. Our mission is to provide continuing support to S&CSPO and their suite of ATM systems including FTACAN, DTACAN, AMACCS, TVSS platforms and ATCOM services. System sites are geographically dispersed across Australia, owned, operated and maintained by the RAAF and BAE Systems personnel which makes for a complex and interesting role.
The ATM Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the PEM, Lead Engineer and broader project engineering team to ensure contracted engineering services are delivered to meet project performance in terms of quality, schedule, budget and operational mission needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Apply knowledge and understanding to engineering theories, concepts, practices, principles and approaches in a range of standard products and services, resolve technical & performance issues and problems.
* Design and develop solutions to a limited range of engineering situations, problems and issues within the scope of Consolidated Contract.
* Maintain design documentation in accordance with the applicable configuration management, change management and traceability processes.
* Undertake tasks using MaintOps, CAMM2, OmegaPS, Oracle, Maximo.
* Support the Service Centre and supply chain as required.
* Provide a supporting or championing role for ad‑hoc engineer tasks as directed by Lead Engineers or PEM.
* Conduct engineering requirement analysis, detailed design, implementation, test and evaluation and integration of ad‑hoc projectsli>
About YOU
* Tertiary qualification within Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related disciplines.
* Satisfies requirements for membership of Institute of Engineers Australia and is working towards Chartered Professional Engineer status.
* Demonstrated experience within the engineering discipline.
* Experience developing simple electronic/electrical equipment designs, participating in design reviews, undertaking typical design analyses and implementing system solutions, integration, validation and qualification testing.
* Utilise design capture and analysis tools effectively to produce high‑quality designs and products including interpretation of analysis results.
* Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with engineers within the project.
* Ability to function confidently within a project team environment with good problem‑solving skills.
