Why Work With Us The Office for Early Childhood Development has been formed with a clear mandate: to create a fairer and better future for all children in South Australia by implementing the accepted recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care. As the steward of the early childhood development system, the Office will act on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with the sector, to organise and connect the system to reduce developmental vulnerability. This includes providing universal access to quality, teacher-led preschool from the age of 3, growing and sustaining a quality early childhood workforce, and greater supports and connected services for families in the 1000 days of a child’s life.
A Bout This Role The Office for Early Childhood Development in South Australia is looking for a Policy Officer to join our Government Relations and Strategy team. The Policy Officer will play a crucial role in the Government Relations and Strategy team, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will support high-level government relations activities and policy design.
Key Responsibilities Include
Coordinating and preparing for intergovernmental meetings and stakeholder engagement.
Assisting with the management of workflow, communications, and project coordination within the directorate.
Drafting briefings and papers on national issues.
Undertaking research to support policy development in early childhood education and care.
Assist with the development and maintenance of tools and templates for continuous improvement.
Promote a protected and healthy working environment in line with Work Health and Safety guidelines.

Remuneration ASO4 - $76,589 - $80,256 (1.0 FTE) per annum, plus superannuation.
