Coordinate successful scheduling outcomes for Victoria's prison video conferencing network. Ongoing, Full time opportunity. VPS grade 4 - $100,894 - $114,476 plus superannuation.

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Video Conferencing Officer to provide a critical role within Sentence Management.

About the Business Unit

The Video Conferencing Coordination Unit (VCCU) supports the work of the Sentence Management Division within Corrections Victoria and is responsible for the coordination of all video conferences/Audio Visual Links (AVL) where a prisoner is involved, including but not limited to: court appearances (TeleCourt), conferences with legal representatives and court ordered assessments.

About the Role

Working closely with prison staff and senior stakeholders, including court registry staff and the legal profession, the Senior Video Conferencing Officer maintains oversight of the daily scheduling and management of prisoner video conferencing, management of issues and schedule amendments. The VCCU operate on rotating fortnightly roster that adheres to current prison rostering principles and will require work between 7am-7pm Monday to Friday and 7am-4pm Saturday and Sunday.

* Liaise with Court registry staff to provide timely and accurate information on the location of prisoners within the custody of Corrections Victoria, Victoria Police and within the Youth Justice System.
* Liaise with prison records personnel and Courts registry staff to coordinate TeleCourt appearances.
* Liaise with legal professionals to schedule client conferences utilising video conferencing technology.
