Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner role
Day-to-day duties involve working with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients. Participants' challenging behaviours are assessed and observed, and skill-building, emotion regulation and replacement behaviours are introduced to reduce restrictive practices.
Positive Behaviour Support plans and assessments focus on increasing a person's quality of life by improving skills and enhancing independence. The Practitioner develops a plan, implements it with training, and provides regular follow-up and review.
Extensive training and support from Team Leaders and Managers on site will prepare you to perform both roles effectively.
