About the role
The position will primarily focus on operating a range of finishing and binding equipment, including guillotines, folders, saddle stitching, collating, and hand finishing. We do offer on-the-job training if it's needed, so applicants who are eager to learn are very welcome.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Operate designated machine that has been assigned to you as per the industry standards.
* Fold, collate and fasten printed products by machine and hand.
* Perform hand binding and finishing operations.
* Sign off job ticket with quantity of products finished where applicable.
* Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications.
* Liaise with dispatch department when moving completed jobs into dispatch.
* Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering materials when necessary.
* Conduct regular checks and perform and record maintenance on machines as required.
About you
Ideally, we're looking for someone with at least two years of experience in print finishing. While a trade certificate would certainly be a plus, we value experience and a positive, proactive attitude above all.
