The position will suit someone ready to transition to equity within the next ***** months, managing a $1M+ client book and playing a key role in the firm's next phase of growth.
You will manage a portfolio of established business clients (some with up to $50M turnover), providing strategic tax and advisory services, business structuring, and succession planning.
The team has 2 very senior employees who have been with the business for 15+ years, an assistant, with offshore assistance in the Philippines and admin support.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Advisory & Consulting Run planning meetings, tax planning, and quarterly/annual reviews.
Provide advice on structure, cashflow, KPIs, funding, CGT/Div 7A/FBT/GST, and growth planning.
Spot problems early; present solutions clearly.
Client Engagement & Onboarding Qualify prospects; set scope, fees, and timelines.
Lead smooth onboarding processes and manage client expectations.
Ensure clear, proactive communication with clients.
Business Development Build a personal pipeline via referrals, COIs, and events.
Convert leads with clear proposals and value stories.
Cross-sell services (advisory, bookkeeping, payroll, FP, SMSF).
Portfolio Leadership & Review Set budgets, manage WIP, and review files.
Coach team members and improve processes.
About You 10+ years of experience in practice with CA, CPA or IPA Qualification Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team Commercially minded with the ability to engage clients, identify opportunities, and bring in new work Confident in providing advisory, structuring, and cash flow guidance Strong communicator who builds genuine client and team relationships Ambitious with aspirations to become an equity partner Has an owner mindset, accountable, hands-on, and willing to go the extra mile.
