This role offers a challenging opportunity to work with heavy mobile equipment and electrical systems.
We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining and fault-finding auto electrical systems on heavy earthmoving machinery, ancillary equipment, trucks, buses and light vehicles.
The successful candidate will have trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (or equivalent) and previous experience in mining, heavy industry, OEM or workshop environments.
Main Responsibilities:
* Install and commission safety and smart-technology systems (including collision avoidance and camera systems) to site and OEM standards.
* Cary out diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic components.
* Complete machine fit-outs and accessory installations to a high standard of workmanship.
* Accurately complete job cards, reports and documentation.
* Work collaboratively with supervisors, site personnel and other trades to support safe and efficient operations.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in mining, heavy industry, OEM or workshop environments.
* Proven experience with installations and machine fit-outs.
* Competent in diagnostics and fault-finding on heavy mobile equipment.
* Experience with camera, collision avoidance or fleet management systems (e.g. MineStar, Modular Mining, Ivolve) will be highly regarded.
* Current S11 and Coal Board Medical (CBM) are preferred, or willingness to obtain.
* Strong focus on safety, quality and clear communication.
