Role
Electrician & Air Conditioning Technician for a FIFO site between Rockhampton and Gladstone. This is a hands‐on role suited to a trade‐qualified professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in high‐quality workmanship, and wants to be part of a supportive team delivering essential services in a unique site environment. With a 7:7 roster, strong team culture, and the opportunity to work across a site that operates much like a small remote town, this role offers genuine variety, autonomy and the chance to make a visible impact every day.
Responsibilities
* Village and camp electrical maintenance
* Air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance
* Preventative and reactive maintenance across site
* Routine inspections of premises and equipment, including:
o power
o water
o sewer
o gas
o fire systems
o communications
o air conditioning and refrigeration systems
* Fault finding, diagnostics and refurbishment works
* General repairs and maintenance across camp facilities
* Completing reports and safety documentation
* Supporting the operation of a remote site environment with infrastructure similar to a small town
Qualifications
* Current QLD Electrical Unrestricted Licence
* Ability and willingness to be nominated as a Qualified Technical Person (QTP) under the existing ISS QLD Electrical Contractor Licence
* Current LVR/CPR
* Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration – highly desirable
* Current RAC01 Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL) – highly desirable
* Current QBCC Mechanical Services Air‐conditioning and Refrigeration Occupational Licence, or qualifications that meet QBCC requirements
* Ability and willingness to be added as a nominee to the ISS QBCC contractor licence for Mechanical Services Air‐conditioning and Refrigeration
* Minimum 2 years experience in facilities maintenance and commercial electrical – highly desirable
* Current Australian driver's licence
* White Card
* First Aid Certificate
* Experience in camp construction or camp maintenance – preferred
* Working at Heights – preferred but not essential
