Job Summary
Our Regional Assets business is responsible for maintaining the rail network across regional Queensland. This position is based at the Toowoomba Depot within the Resurfacing team, covering routes from Toowoomba to Charleville, Toowoomba to Thallon, and occasional work from Townsville to Mount Isa and Emerald to Winton.
Position: Operator Maintainer
We are seeking self‐motivated operators or labourers with experience operating civil or mobile plant machinery. The role involves track maintenance, including operating and maintaining all plant and equipment used by the Resurfacing team.

* Potential annual salary of $100,000 including penalties and super
* Full‐time role, 8/6 roster (8 on, 6 off); may vary due to operational needs
* Travel allowance and paid work‐time travel
* Completion of Certificate II & III in Rail Infrastructure – Track Surfacing
* PPE & uniform supplied
* Strong focus on safety
Responsibilities
* Operate machinery in compliance with all policies and safe work procedures
* Perform regular servicing and maintenance on all on‐track and auxiliary equipment
* Liaise with the Resurfacing Supervisor regarding program requirements
* Assist tradesperson with mechanical/electrical repairs and maintenance as required
* Undertake accurate and timely administrative and recording duties
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in operating civil or mobile plant machinery
* Current driver's licence
* Strong communication skills
* Demonstrated commitment to safety
* Capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
* Flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
