About the role
The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.
Lecturers must keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.
Responsibilities

* Engage in professional development to stay current with technological and other developments in the field.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations (RII30820), Certificate III in Civil Construction (RII30920) or similar, and Certificate III in Trenchless Technology (RII31619) (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position.
* Ability to facilitate and encourage learning.
* Minimum qualification required to deliver accredited VET: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).
* Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials may be eligible if enrolled and have commenced training in an approved training and assessment credential, and record satisfactory progress to complete the credential within two years from commencement.

Applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
