The Information Security Risk and Assurance Specialist is responsible for developing the governance of information and cyber security, identifying and monitoring risk and providing assurance through regular and regulatory reporting. The position will provide policy and technical security advice and support to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the BPC's information, devices, technology and infrastructure thereby protecting the BPC from emerging cyber threats.
What we are looking for
* Extensive work experience providing expert IT security advice and assurance across a wide range of business systems and IT infrastructure to senior leadership
* Demonstrated experience in managing cyber security threats and vulnerabilities for medium to large organisations
* Highly developed technical skills to monitor, detect and respond to security vulnerabilities, risks, incidents and threats

About the BPC
The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.
It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
