Job Description:
The role of Technical Officer is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a strong understanding of analogue/digital and microprocessor-based electronic systems. You will be responsible for maintaining technical knowledge across all subsystems of the Scylla Sonar, conducting all technical support tasks in a safe and efficient manner, performing modifications and upgrades to electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assemblies, and leading and performing off-site work as required in support of submarine full-cycle docking tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking a Cert III in Electronic Engineering or equivalent holder who has a strong understanding of electronic systems, previous experience in a defence industry environment, and exceptional written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in MS Suite is also highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are essential for this role.
