About the role
In your role as Analyst, your purpose is to conduct customer identifications and due‐diligences prior to onboarding new customers, and to monitor ongoing money‐laundering risk profiles in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the GCIB coverage team and MUFG's Financial Crime divisions, ensuring each customer is onboarded according to our policies and that any issues are identified and dealt with appropriately.
What you'll be doing
* New Customer On‐boarding – Perform customer identification and due‐diligence to assess money‐laundering risk before providing banking services.
* Post‐On‐boarding Monitoring – Continue to monitor customers' risk under internal frameworks and conduct extraordinary reviews if profile changes occur.
* Regular KYC Reviews – Execute periodical KYC reviews per internal schedule.
* Quality Control – Conduct cross‐checks of KYC due‐diligence reports prepared by other team members before submission.
What we are looking for
* 1+ year experience in compliance, banking, accounting, legal, consultancy, regulatory or equivalent sectors.
* Experience in AML/KYC is favorably considered.
* Economics/Finance/Business and Commerce/Accounting/Law degree from a leading university (essential).
* ACAMS/CPA/CA or a relevant master's qualification (favored).
* General understanding of financial business, economy and markets.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to engage in independent research and analysis of customers, regulations and banking products.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Team player, self‐starter with drive, initiative and enthusiasm.
