Mornington Peninsula Shire Council is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to kickstart their career in local government. This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander designated position, only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply. As a Business Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in administration, customer service, and project coordination, while completing a Certificate IV in Business. This 12-month full-time traineeship is designed to support your growth, confidence, and capability, setting you up for a meaningful career in public service.

Salary
Band 2: $64,580.31 per annum (plus super)

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, you must:
* Have Australian work rights (citizen, resident, or valid visa)
* Not have completed a Certificate IV or higher in Business (or similar)
* Complete a BKSB assessment (ACSF exit level 2 – working level 3 in literacy and numeracy)
* Be willing to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
* Applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
