Financial Planning & Analysis Manager – Clinical and Sustainability
This senior role leads a team of Finance Business Partners who interface with Clinical Directors and Operational Managers. The manager ensures accurate budgeting, forecasting, high‐quality financial reporting and supports key business initiatives, while driving sustainability and efficiency across the hospital.
Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, ensuring sound financial management and accurate budgeting/planning.
* Serve as the primary FP&A business partner for the Project Management Office (PMO), supporting sustainability initiatives and delivering financial modelling for business cases and investment proposals.
* Oversee the end‐to‐end budget process: consolidate inputs, develop financial models, facilitate stakeholder engagement and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management.
* Deliver timely month‐end reporting, financial analysis for annual budget development, forecasting and ESG performance reporting to executive leadership and Department of Health.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, promote continuous improvement of financial processes, systems and reporting, and maintain internal controls.
* Build rapport with senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive commercial outcomes through finance‐driven operational performance.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Commerce.
* Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia (ICAA) or Certified Practising Accountants of Australia (CPA).
* Demonstrated experience in financial leadership within complex organisations.
* Proven ability to drive operational performance and deliver commercial outcomes through financial information.
* Experience leading the development of accurate budgets, plans, forecasts and high‐quality reports.
* Proven capacity to analyse data, prepare recommendations and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team of finance professionals.
* Tertiary qualification in Management is an advantage.
* Understanding of public health sector budgeting and operations, and Department of Health funding guidelines is an advantage.
