Allmac Welding & Fabrication is looking for a skilled Motor Mechanic to join their tight-knit team in Goulburn.
They are a locally owned business on Lansdowne Street, proudly operating for the past 12 years. They’re known for sheet metal fabrication, but they do much more—like crafting custom tray backs for vehicles, structural steel work, and even mobile welding services across Goulburn, NSW, and the ACT.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifying and fixing mechanical or electrical problems in engines and vehicle parts.
- Disassembling and examining engines, gearboxes, steering setups, and other systems.
- Repairing or swapping out damaged or worn parts, putting components back together, and referencing manuals as needed.
- Performing regular upkeep like oil swaps, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to ensure vehicles run well and comply with emissions standards.
- Rebuilding engines and parts after repairs are done.
- Checking and adjusting mechanical systems to confirm they’re working perfectly.
- Using diagnostic software and tools to test and troubleshoot parts.
- Potentially inspecting vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or noting what’s required for compliance.
- Occasionally responding to roadside breakdown calls for vehicle repairs.
Selection Criteria:
- AQF Certificate III in Motor Mechanic or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience as a motor mechanic.
- Solid skills in diagnosing and fixing vehicle issues.
- Team player with great communication and time management.
