About The Role
As a Nurse Lead, you will play a vital role in managing people, systems, processes, resources, and the clinical environment to ensure safe, effective, and high-standard patient care. You'll contribute to overall planning and performance, improving health outcomes for patients and population groups.
This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week across 5 days, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and develop a diverse clinical team including Registered Nurses and Practice Care Assistants.
* Manage daily nursing operations, recruitment, and resource allocation effectively.
* Balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on clinical duties.
* Collaborate with leadership to develop innovative care models and improve health outcomes.
* Drive quality improvement initiatives and support continuous professional development within your team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Current New Zealand Registered Nurse practising certificate and CPR certification.
* Management experience (preferred).
* Proven experience in primary care or accident and medical settings.
* Strong leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
* Friendly, approachable, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Conflict resolution, negotiation, and performance coaching skills.
* Advanced computer literacy and adaptability.
* Passion for delivering equitable healthcare aligned with the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
* Postgraduate qualifications and quality improvement experience are highly desirable.
* NZ residency or valid NZ work permit required.
