Remuneration: $***** – $***** per hour + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our Buderim Hospital teamResponsibilities
* Assist the nursing staff with the safe transfer, repositioning and mobilisation of patients.
* Set up theatre equipment in preparation for procedures.
* Assist with the transport of patients to and from the ICU, ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers.
* Support with patient positioning, application of diathermy plate, suction, etc.
* Handle and set up hospital equipment for procedures and dispose of all waste as per procedures contained in Waste Management.
* Follow hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control.
* Assist nursing team members with various patient procedures and ensure safe manual handling and effective use of mechanical lifting aids.

* 2 years experience as a Theatre Orderly.
* Flexibility to work across all shifts – mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
* Commitment to the provision of a patient/customer focused service.
* Proven ability to work as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
* Physical capacity to perform all duties of the position and the ability to work in a manner which preserves patient confidentiality and dignity.
* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, and undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment.
