The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of ZELVi Equipment machines to and from customer sites. The role ensures that Equipment is delivered and collected on time, handled safely, and presented professionally to customers while maintaining compliance with all road safety and transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely transport Equipment to and from customer sites.
* Load and unload machines using appropriate securing and safety procedures.
* Conduct pre‐start inspections of truck, trailer, and transported Equipment.
* Ensure all loads are correctly restrained in accordance with regulations.
* Communicate delivery and collection schedules with the operations team.
* Provide professional interaction with customers during deliveries and collections.
* Report any damage, faults, or safety concerns immediately.
* Assist with basic yard duties when required.
* Maintain cleanliness and presentation of truck and transport equipment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Safe operation of vehicles with zero safety incidents
* On‐time delivery and collection of Equipment
* Compliance with transport and load restraint regulations
* Positive customer feedback during deliveries
* Proper care and presentation of company vehicles
Qualifications
* Current HC (Heavy Combination) driver's licence
* Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy vehicles
* Experience operating low loader or float trailers (highly desirable)
* Experience transporting earthmoving or construction Equipment
* Strong understanding of load restraint and transport safety
* Ability to safely load and unload machinery
* Willingness to comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements
* Understanding of WA fatigue management regulations
* Good communication skills and professional attitude
