As an Apprentice Diesel Fitter at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll partake in a four-year learning program that combines theoretical education facilitated by a Registered Training Organisation (such as TAFE) with practical on-the-job training.
This position is located at Proserpine Mill in the heart of the Whitsunday region - it's like being in paradise With its pristine beaches and lively community, you'll find the perfect balance between work and relaxation.
Role in Action
* Efficiency Enforcer: Provide a maintenance service to Mill departments and assist in the assessment of asset performance.
* Fix-It Force: Participate in and support preventative maintenance programs including basic troubleshooting, fault finding, reporting, installation, monitoring and repairs as required.
* Accuracy in Action: Ensure accuracy of data entry such as work orders, permits, reporting and timesheets. Contribute to the development and updating of safe operating procedures.
* Collaboration Crew: Work collaboratively in team environments.
Your Winning Combination
Successful candidates are required to have a minimum sound achievement in Math and English. Be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Have introductory computer skills, and be able to commute to work and vocational training.
