Service Manager – Ballarat
O'Connors has been proudly supporting Australian farmers for over 60 years, delivering industry‐leading agricultural machinery, precision farming solutions and trusted aftersales support. We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the Service Department at our Ballarat dealership.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys driving operational performance, developing people and delivering exceptional customer service.
About the Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Service Manager is responsible for leading all Service Department staff and resources to achieve strong employee engagement, customer satisfaction and service KPIs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead, manage and develop the Service team to achieve performance and engagement targets
* Manage day‐to‐day workshop operations, including job scheduling and technician allocation
* Drive productivity, efficiency and timely repair order completion
* Manage customer communication and satisfaction throughout the service process
* Oversee invoicing, warranty administration and repair order accuracy
* Ensure service manuals, systems, tools, equipment and vehicles are maintained to a high standard
* Drive service department growth through active promotion and customer engagement
* Prepare budgets, reports and performance reviews in collaboration with the Branch Manager
* Champion safety, compliance and O'Connors' core values
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Proven leadership and people management experience
* Strong operational and commercial skills in a workshop or service environment
* Excellent communication, organisation and customer relationship skills
* A proactive, solutions‐focused approach with strong attention to detail
* A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
Experience in the agricultural industry is highly regarded; however, candidates from the automotive, truck or mining industries are strongly encouraged to apply.
