Laboratory Assistant - Molecular Pathology - Fixed Term
Clinipath Pathology is a Perth based subsidiary of Sonic Healthcare with a reputation as a quality pathology service provider, focusing on professional excellence, reliability and excellent customer service.
We are currently seeking a full-time Laboratory Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract to work in the routine clinical Molecular Pathology Department at the Osborne Park Laboratory.
The main focus of this position is the primary processing of patient samples for analysis.
The following are the essential requirements for this role:
* Availability to work afternoon/evening and weekend shifts
* A minimum of one year's previous experience in a clinical laboratory or Certificate IV in Laboratory techniques/technology with a pathology focus
* Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a small team with a high degree of accuracy and precision
* Right to work in Australia
Preferred:
* Diploma (or equivalent) in Laboratory techniques/technology with a pathology focus
* Experience with automated molecular instrumentation
The successful candidate will be part of a team that supports operational hours from 7:00am to midnight, Monday to Friday, and 7:00am to 10:00pm on weekends and public holidays within our Molecular Pathology Department.
You will be required to work 38hrs per week on a rotating roster within the operational hours with participation in the weekend roster.
